Christina Ashie Guidry is the Director of Policy & Planning at United Community Services (UCS) and joined the team in 2020. Christina convenes a statewide coalition of partners working to address housing insecurity and end homelessness in Kansas – the Kansas Housing Advocacy Network (KHAN). Along with partners, Christina hosts educational events for elected officials and staff highlighting effective programs in the state, identifying gaps and needs in our housing continuum, and illuminating better practices to inform next steps to support a robust housing continuum for all Kansans – retirees, young families, workforce, and those without homes. Christina supports effective policy and planning processes in Johnson County connected to the delivery of human services, such as the Johnson County Eviction Mediation Pilot Program and the Criminal Justice Advisory Council.

Prior to joining UCS, Christina served as a Senior Policy Analyst for the state of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Christina is a licensed attorney, with a juris doctor from University of Virginia School of Law and an undergraduate and master’s degree from Texas A&M University. Christina enjoys spending all four seasons in Kansas outdoors with her family.
